..nothing get's in, and nothing get's out.

You have to empty your cup, in order to fill
it up again.

There is a difference between being sure of
yourself, and being full of yourself.

No argument there. Although you missed the point
entirely.

Having an "open mind" (going against you own better judgement) can get
you burned.
It's happened to me more than once.

Being burned is better than being owned!
An open mind, is a FREE Mind. Free to choose
your own path in life. A closed mind is not a free mind
as you are locked behind a door of your own making
and is not FREE to roam.

It does not matter if you are locked into or locked out
of experiencing religion, either way it's by your own
choice not to explore other options. Not allowing
yourself to roam.

If you get burned, so be it. What better way to learn
the difference between the right way and the wrong way
to go!

Any mind that is not free, is "owned" by their own fear
and superstition of the "unknown".

Tell me your definition of "open mind," then we can talk.
You sound like you're running a game/agenda. What is it?

I was raised by my Father, and do my Fathers work.
I have no agenda. I simply follow the Holy Ghost
(Shekhina, Tao).

Having an open mind is exactly the point of the first
post in this thread. You have to empty your cup out
in order to fill it up again. A full cup can receive nothing
more and a steel trap won't let go!

Ultimately it's about humility, not pride or prejudice,
both of which are like a steel trap.
